RE: Wal*Mart's Large Fresh Pumpkin Pie.....Magnifique!!!

The same pie was on sale day before Thanksgiving $2.99. Their smaller pie was still $3.50. The $2 savings made it taste even better. :B Should have gotten 2. Only have one piece left.:R

RE: Holland Michigan to San Diego

Checking the weather out 15 days (if you can believe weather reports that far out). AccuWeather.com shows that Saint Louis is going to have weather barely above freezing during the day. But Bowling Green, KY is going to have weather above freezing both day and night. I would be heading south until I found a good weather pattern heading west. I-20 would be my choice.

RE: 2007 Conquest Supernova

I believe you will find the 07 has 140 gallons fuel. The 09 will have a DPF in it. The 07 may not have it. I would go for the 07 just to get away from the DPF exhaust.
What is a DPF ?

RE: EVDO router

OK, I am online with 3gstore and ready to checkout. I am confused about the connectors though. I already have a CB mount on the MH and I have a wire coming inside from the CB mount. I realize the connectors may be different for the CB and the antenna I am purchasing, so do I need these two connectors?
FME Male to N Male connector
FME Female to N Male connector
Thanks again. Marg
You need to use the cable and connectors that 3G Store sells. The CB cable and connectors will not work. You may be able to use the CB mount.

RE: Later Snowbirds/Packing the camper ????

We will not be leaving until after the new year. After cover is removed I hook up a 40 lbs propane tank. Set temperature on furnace to 45 degrees. This saves RV's propane for the trip south. Also turn on ceramic heater. Set at same temperature.
This allows us to put all things that might freeze without worry.
Waiting out the next 6 weeks in the cold seems like 6 months.:E

RE: EVDO router

I have a MBR1000 that I purchased new off EBay. Fired it up with no problems. Even updated to 1.4 firmware with no problems. The MBR 1000 has 802.11 ‘N support (next computer I buy will probably have it also) and antenna's as part of the router. Also has 4 Ethernet ports. I plan on using it in the MH. But it will also work very well off the cable modem in the house. If cable goes down I can plug the air card in and use it to access the internet. Also purchased a 12 volt DC adapter to use it while driving down road.
If you are going to upgrade computers and expand your system later consider the MBR1000. Otherwise the 350 or 500 will work well with 802.11 'G'.

RE: Do I need brakes

Now I have a question about the breakaway brakes on a dolly. what happens if the towed comes off the dolly?
My Dolly has a set of safety chains that are used in addition to the web straps.

RE: class C king bed/slide questions

Not a good idea. Each slide adds about 1000 lbs to weight of RV. Support for the slide is built into the wall as it is constructed.

RE: Worn Out Shocks After 8000 Miles??

One of our members joked that the stock shocks are only designed to get you from the dealer to home. Not too far from the truth. Put a set of Bilsteins on it and you'll be glad you did. Go to E-shocks for the best price(or maybe Eshocks) It's one or the other.
Try eshocks. Got mine from them. Cost $280. They are located in MI and had to add MI sales tax.

RE: Cheap Gas! $2.859 Yesterday

I paid just $1.43/gal. to fill up our motor home today! Plus the credit card I use gives me a 4% rebate. And that brings it down almost another 6 cents. Fuel is presently a bargain! Bagman.
You did not have any Kroger discount to turn in? :R

RE: Installing new rear view mirror

There should be a set screw holding the old mirror on windshield. Just loosen it. If pad that old one was attached to is same as new one just set it on the pad and tighten the set screw and your set to go. Do not know how to change the pad if it is different on new mirror.

Here is a recent thread on the subject. Winterizing - Don't forget the LCD TV/s!
Leave it in. Wait until it warms up in RV before turning it on.

RE: Super C? Why?

We bought our Super C used. Was a good deal. Fuel mileage, power, handling after a couple of cheap upgrades, ease of repair and floor plan with entertainment center up front. We have modified ours for a very comfortable place for the 120 nights we spend on the road each year.
In our case, MH had to be a diesel. Which does not make for a fair comparison with the Class A's.

I can believe the shock may be bad. But for $800 you can get the best Koni's installed on your MH. Go to Camping World.

Yes. You will be towing over 3700 lbs with dolly included. Will make a difference in stopping distance.
